Peter van Leeuwen

Peter Van Leeuwen received a BEd in mathematics from the Université de Montreal in 1971. After teaching, he switched to medical research in 1980 and in 1989 obtained his PhD in medical science from the University of Witten/Herdecke, Germany, followed by his habilitation and a professorship in electrophysiology. He was head of the Department of Biomagnetism of the Grönemeyer Institute of Microtherapy between 1992 and 2014. The main emphasis of his research work has been focused on adult and fetal non-invasive cardiology. His research interests include biomagnetism, electrophysiology as well as nonlinear dynamics.
